Mercy Milanoi, the business reporter who was one of the journalists fired from K24 when the TV station wiped out its entire newsroom has landed a new top job.

Milanoi who was one a buzzing business reporter and one of the country’s top rising media stars before the Kijabe street based media house almost killed her dreams in 2020 will be reporting to Kilifi county this month.

The journalist will be the Principal Information Communications Officer in governor Gideon Mungaro’s government deputising Karen Karimi.

Sources have told us that she has already tendered her resignation at Oxygene Communications where she was an editorial consultant for the last two years.

The journalist who is yet to make public her new job has been posting photos on Instagram showing her having fun in white sandy beaches of the coast further heightening suspicion that she has already reported to her new job.

The media industry has in the last few years been losing its journalists to the public relations field as government agencies and private companies realise the importance of having an internal communications department.

All the best to Milanoi
