A mother is suspected of killing her son before committing suicide at Kabete within Kiambu County.
Police say Ruth Nyambura Karuga, 32 had been missing from her place of work before she was discovered dead in her house in Nyathuna trading center on January 26
Besides her body on nearby bed, lay the body of her son Francis Kinyanjui, 11.
Nyambura worked at the Nyathuna Level Four Hospital as support staff. Her mother has told police she had tried to reach her on the phone in vain.
She then decided to go and check on her at her house. She found her body lying her bedroom floor.
Police who arrived on the scene established that the door of the house had been locked from inside before villagers broke it.
