Police have arrested four students from Kijabe Boys High school on suspicion that they torched a school dormitory.
Property worth millions of shillings was destroyed last night after open of the school’s dorms went up in flames. It is said that at least 60 students lost their personal items in the incident which has taken place just a week after schools reopened for the new academic year.
The affected students had to spend the night in the dining hall while others shared beds as they await for instructions from the Ministry of Education and the school management.
Last year, an inferno at the same school reduced two of the dormitories to ashes, prompting the administration to dedicate one of the classrooms as sleeping quarters for students. Three students are currently in court over the incident.
