Robber pours hot water on victim, stabs him to death

Police in Nyamira are investigating an incident where an suspected robber killed a man by pouring hot water on his face before stabbing him to death.

The victim, Hassan Anchinga had just arrived home at Nyabiemba village in Kegogi sub-location, Nyamira County. He found his house broken into by an unknown person.

The intruder who was inside the house at the time of Anchinga’s arrival immediately poured hot water on him before stabbing him on the chest.

The brother of the deceased who heard the commotion rushed to the scene and found him in bad shape.

He was taken to Keroka sub-county hospital before being transferred to Ichuni Mission hospital and later transferred to Kisii Teaching and referral hospital where he succumbed.

Police visited the scene and recovered open shoes, Marvin, and a knife believed to be the property of the suspect. A hunt for the suspect has been launched.
