Over 60 students from a secondary school in Nyahururu escaped death narrowly when the school bus they were travelling in was involved in accident.
One of the staff members at Thiru Day Secondary School has serious injuries while two students got fractures in the Tuesday evening incident.
They were travelling home along the Nyahururu-Rumuruti Road when the accident occurred. Those who were injured were rushed to Nyahururu County Referral Hospital for treatment.
“25 to 30 students remained in casualty as they needed urgent reviews,” Dr Muhoro Mathenge, incharge of the hospital’s casualty said.
“Based on our analysis, most of them had stable vitals and only one needed admission due to fractures.”
