“We shall protest every Monday,” Raila Odinga

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has told the government that his supporters will protest every Monday until their demands are met.

“Mambo bado. Tumeanza vita. Haitaisha mpaka Wakenya wapate haki yao Kila jumatatu tutakua tunafanya maandamano,” Raila told his supporters in Eastleigh before the gathering was cut short by police who lobbed teargas cannisters at them.

Raila had earlier been prevented from addressing a press conference at the Serena Hotel by the Police. His convoy then tried to access the CBD but they were repulsed by the police.

The convoy is currently along Juja road headed deeper into Eastlands, Nairobi
