Gospel singer Mr Seed sustained serious injuries after a car they were traveling in was involved in an accident on Saturday night. Seed, whose real name is Michael Omondi was according to his wife Nimo Gachuiri returning to Nairobi with his friends after prospecting for land in Nyanyuki.
“The car they were in got into a bad accident we were slightly behind them when we saw a crowd surrounding the scene,” she posted on her Instagram stories.
Gachuiri also explained that she rushed to the scene and found Mr. Seed motionless on the ground. A video posted to her social media shows the singer being wheeled into a hospital wing while motionless.
According to Gachuiri, a number of people died in the accident.
“I don’t know whether to be happy that some friends survived coz I can’t stop crying because others lost their lives too,” she narrated.
“I just remember running and seeing them on the ground and begging him to wake up. Some good samaritans helped and we took him to hospital.”
According to Gachuiri, Mr. Seed suffered a fractured pelvis and was placed on “strict two weeks bed rest.”
“I can’t believe my husband is alive. Never been this scared in my life,” she said.
“When they say miracles exist believe them. Seed is okay but in pain. Pray for us and the families of those who did not survive.”
Yesterday’s accident happened just two months after another celebrity; TikTok star Baba Mona, his daughter Mona and two of his sisters died in a tragic accident along the Kericho Kisumu highway. The accident occurred on the Londiani-Muhoroni highway, near the Tunnel trading centre in Marenda sub-location.
Eyewitnesses said that a dark blue saloon car, carrying the family members, veered off the road and hit guard rails. The impact left the car a mangled wreck. A child was thrown off the vehicle while the three adult passengers sustained multiple injuries.
Baba Mona was a popular content creator on TikTok who had amassed a significant following due to the pieces of advice he gave to his audience. He mostly created content in Luo, which resonated well with young people.
