A police officer was arrested following a robbery with violence incident within Kasarani Sub County, Nairobi.

The officer, identified as Grahamu Ndichu, is reported to be from the General Service Unit (GSU) Transit unit at their headquarters.

One Paul Maina had reported being robbed by three men on a motorcycle armed with a pistol near Cooperative bank along Kamiti road in Kasarani.

The victim lost a mobile phone to the thugs according to a police report file at Kasarani Police Station.

Police officers with the help of bodaboda riders chased the attackers and managed to arrest one of the three at Juja weighbridge after their runaway motorcycle developed mechanical problems.

A homemade pistol is capable of firing and a blood-stained piece of knife was recovered from the arrested police officer.

Also recovered is a motorcycle registration number KMFH 031 U.

Officers from the Kasarani criminal investigation office are currently investigating the matter as a hunt for other two suspects continues.
