Nigerian singer Wizkid has lost his mother Jane Dolapo Balogun.

The singer lost his mother in the early hours of today, Friday, August 18, 2023.

The late Balogun is the mother to two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.

The departed, Mrs. Balogun, stood as an unswerving pillar of strength in bolstering her son’s skyrocketing career, a familiar face radiating unwavering encouragement from the sidelines at numerous live shows and functions.

Her presence during Wizkid’s performances transcended the boundaries of a maternal bond, and an emblem of steadfast backing for her son’s music career.

Condolences to the family and may her soul rest in peace.
