Following Alex Mwakideu’s departure from Milele FM, a station under Mediamax, a series of lineup changes have been set in motion to address the void left by the well-known host of the morning show.
Stepping into the role previously held by Mwakideu is Francis Luchivya, who had been in charge of the evening show until midnight. Luchivya will now lead the morning show alongside Wilbroda Nyaminde.
In the meantime, Milele FM’s evening show has undergone a change with the introduction of Anita Santuri, previously the host of the mid-morning show. Taking over the mid-morning slot is Mercy Tyra, who will share hosting duties with comedian Mitch.
The other programs, including the afternoon show hosted by Mulamwah and Ankali Ray, as well as the Drive Show hosted by MCA Tricky and Chris the Bass, remain unaffected.
Meanwhile, Mwakideu has embarked on a new chapter of his career, finding a new broadcasting home at Radio 47, where he co-hosted his inaugural show alongside Emmanuel Mwashumbe on Monday morning.
Both Mwakideu and Mwashumbe have previously hosted the Radio Maisha morning show, albeit at different times. Mwakideu departed from the Standard Group-owned station in 2018, while Mwashumbe made his exit in March 2023.
