American rapper 50 Cent allegedly injured a concertgoer after he hurled a microphone into the crowd at his show in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday night.

While on stage at the Crypto.com Arena, the rapper grew frustrated after he was handed two defective microphones in a row, prompting him to throw one, as shown in video footage captured by fans.

The thrown microphone allegedly hit a victim, who was standing in the production area near the stage.

The alleged victim, identified as Power 106 radio host Bryhana Monegain, shared images with TMZ in which she had a laceration on her forehead.

Monegain has filed a report to the Los Angeles Police Department following the incident.

50 Cent’s attorney Scott Leemon responded in a statement saying, “Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” he said. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”
