Former Citizen TV journalist Kimani Mbugua reaching out for assistance after being discharged from the hospital last week.
In a video circulating on social media, Kimani reveals that he is currently homeless and has faced challenges in finding support from friends.
“I have lost so many things, I have lost so many friends, people got tired of me. I am at a position where most people are not willing to help because they say they are tired,” he expressed.
Kimani explains his homelessness, stating, “I am homeless, I have my bag, and I’m out. Where I was living, they told me they couldn’t host me anymore and told me to look for an alternative.”
The former journalist, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2020, now has plans for a creative agency.
He says his lack of a job has made him accrue debts amounting to Sh1.7 million.
“I could suffer in silence and be depressed and go back to drugs. I don’t want to go back there. For two months I’ve been drug-free. I don’t have even a phone. If you are willing to help me my email is; [email protected].”
The journalist is appealing for an investor to partner with him and provide the necessary funding to turn his business idea into reality.
“I have a business plan and my first proposal for a client. The company structures and everything are set up…I just need a business partner who’s serious and is going to bring in money and just have my ideas take off.”
