The Finance Director of Nairobi Hospital, Eric Maigo, tragically met his demise at his Woodley residence on Friday, under circumstances suggesting foul play.
Maigo’s lifeless body was discovered bearing 16 stab wounds, with 10 located on his chest and the remainder on his sides.
While an ongoing police investigation is still in progress, initial reports point to a woman who was reportedly in the company of the deceased as the primary suspect in this horrific murder.
Kilimani Police Station’s head, Moss Ndiwa, disclosed, “We are actively pursuing this case, and eyewitnesses in the neighborhood reported hearing Maigo in distress. Regrettably, the woman inside the house refused to open the door, managing to escape before the police arrived.”
Authorities are currently on the trail of this unidentified woman, believing she might have made her escape through a window after committing this heinous act.
Nairobi Hospital CEO James Nyamongo shared the somber news with the hospital’s staff through an internal memo. Nyamongo expressed his condolences and revealed that Maigo’s body was discovered by concerned neighbors at approximately 6 am. The family has been notified, and an investigation is already in progress.
