Bayern Munich has confirmed their intention to trigger the release clause for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise. The German giants have informed Crystal Palace of their decision to pay the £45 million fee required for Olise’s transfer.
In addition to the base fee, Crystal Palace will receive an extra £5 million in add-ons. This decision comes after Olise expressed his desire to join Bayern Munich to play in the Champions League.
Olise has agreed to a five-year contract with Bayern, preferring the move over interest from Chelsea, Newcastle, and Manchester United. The formal process to activate the release clause is now underway, with final details to follow before the deal is officially signed.
