Newly released data reveals that President William Ruto has made at least 63 international trips over the past 21 months, averaging approximately three foreign visits per month.
This frequency is nearly double the number of trips the late President Mwai Kibaki undertook during his entire 10-year term.
To put this in perspective, President Ruto’s travel count is also almost half the total number of international trips made by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta during his presidency. Specifically, the data shows that the late President Kibaki made 33 foreign trips in 10 years, while President Kenyatta embarked on 151 trips abroad throughout his term.
This comparison highlights a significant increase in international engagements by President Ruto, reflecting a more proactive approach to global diplomacy and international relations.
