Veteran radio presenter G-Money has announced his departure from Homeboyz Radio and the radio industry after 17 years of service.
G-Money, who hosted the popular morning show “G-Money in the Morning,” later rebranded as “The Power Up,” made the announcement on X.
In his farewell post, G-Money expressed his condolences to those who lost their lives protesting against the Finance Bill 2024. “This moment isn’t about me saying goodbye, it’s about those who won’t get a chance to say ‘goodbye’ as their lives have been snuffed out before they truly have even had a chance to live,” he said.
Reflecting on his time in radio, G-Money described his era as one that provided a platform for many young people to spread their wings and fly. He emphasized that he wanted to shine a spotlight on those who lost their lives during the protests rather than focusing on his exit.
