Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man by unknown assailants in the Kist area of Kiambu Township. The incident occurred on Thursday, August 1, along the Kist-Degro Road.
Witnesses reported that the victim, an unidentified man approximately 27 years old, was shot while on a motorcycle. The police, upon arrival at the scene, discovered the man’s lifeless body with a gunshot wound to the chest. They also recovered two spent 9mm cartridges and one live bullet about 100 meters from the body.
According to guards near the scene, the victim was being followed by two other motorcycle riders who fled immediately after the shooting.
The body has been transported to the City Mortuary for postmortem examination and identification.
Police have termed the incident an execution, but the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
