Early Saturday morning, a police officer was fatally stabbed during a violent altercation at the parking lot of Blackwood Bar and Restaurant in Embakasi, Nairobi.
According to a police report obtained by Citizen Digital, the bar was hosting a Kalenjin Night event when chaos erupted just before dawn.
The bar manager, sensing the escalating situation, issued a distress call. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that a man had been killed. Shockingly, they later identified the deceased as one of their own, a fellow police officer.
“Officers rushed to the scene and indeed found one male adult lying dead on the pool of blood with a deep cut on the right side of the neck at the parking yard. Upon searching, they noticed that the deceased is a male adult Administration Police officer attached to Jogoo House,” the report stated.
The officer’s body has been moved to the Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary, where it will await a post-mortem examination.
