Digital content creator and commercial model Sadia Said has announced her decision to withdraw from the Miss Universe 2024 competition, just two months after the event commenced. Sadia, who had advanced to the top 30 finalists and was close to the unveiling of the top 20 contestants, shared the news on her Instagram stories.
While she chose not to disclose her reasons for stepping down, Sadia expressed confidence in her decision, stating that it was the best choice for her at this time.
“To all my friends and supporters, today I have a personal announcement to share with all of you who have been by my side, supporting me through my journey towards the @miss.universekenya competition. After much consideration, I have decided not to continue my participation in the Miss Universe competition. This decision was not made lightly, and while I choose to keep the reasons private, please know that it is the best choice for me at this time,” Sadia wrote.
She thanked her supporters, acknowledging that their encouragement boosted her self-confidence and passion for her work. Sadia concluded by requesting privacy regarding the details of her withdrawal.
