Sauti Sol’s vocalist, Austin Chimano, has officially launched his solo career, marking a new chapter a year after the band announced an indefinite musical hiatus. Chimano’s first solo project, titled “Do You Remember,” is set for release next Friday, August 9.
Reflecting on his transition, Chimano shared, “My previous chapter defined and filled me, but like a chapter read, we finished reading that one, and it’s time to turn a new page. Being part of Sauti Sol was the greatest privilege of my life; now I’m off on this amazing journey that I’m looking forward to.”
Chimano’s solo venture has been highly anticipated by fans eager to see the unique musical direction he will take apart from the iconic Kenyan band.
