Cate, an upcoming gospel singer and alleged baby mama to former Kameme radio presenter Njogu Wa Njoroge, has been using TikTok to express her frustrations over his lack of parental responsibility.
Njoroge who is a veteran Kikuyu radio presenter vied for the Njoro MP seat in 2022 on a UDA ticket but lost in the primaries. He was later appointed as the Kenya Film and Classification Board Chairperson by former Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts CS Ababu Namwamba.
He was previously married to gospel singer Mary Lincoln, who served as his second wife.
The couple celebrated their union with a traditional wedding in August 2020, attended by notable Kikuyu celebrities.
The last public appearance of Njogu and Mary occurred in October 2021 during Mary’s birthday celebration, where the radio personality hosted an extravagant birthday party for his second wife
Cate claims that Njogu abandoned her after she gave birth, leaving her to care for their child alone despite his financial means.
In her TikTok posts, Cate expressed deep regret for having a child with Njogu, lamenting that she wished he had been upfront about his unwillingness to take responsibility. She also revealed that Njogu allegedly has 15 children with different women and accused him of neglecting his duties as a father to all of them.
