Private security firm BM Security has announced the appointment of former TV anchor Michelle Morgan as its new CEO. She takes over from Neil Morgan, who served as CEO for the past eight years and will now assume the role of chairman.
Neil Morgan previously held the position of executive director before his tenure as CEO.
The company was founded in 1984 by her late father, Bob Morgan with the aim of providing quality security services to corporate entities
“Michelle brings with her over seven years of experience in the security services industry, having previously served as the Executive Director with direct oversight of our technology division, BM Systems,” BM Security stated in the announcement.
During her time as Executive Director, Michelle played a key role in driving the company’s digital transformation, positioning BM Security as a leader in technological advancements within the security sector.
Before transitioning to the security industry, Michelle Morgan enjoyed a successful career in the media industry, working for some of Kenya’s leading media houses, including Royal Media Services, Mediamax Network Limited, and Ebru Africa.
Between 2012 and 2014, she served as the lead anchor for the 1 PM business news. She then moved to Ebru Africa as an anchor in 2014, before joining Mediamax, where she anchored at K24 from 2014 to 2017.
