Lawyer and businessman Morara Kebaso is launching a fundraising drive to support his accountability and civic education initiatives. He aims to raise between KSh 838,200 and KSh 1.27 million to purchase a fully equipped public address system for addressing roadside gatherings and large crowds across Kenya.
Kebaso is offering two options for the public address system: a high-end setup at KSh 1.2 million or a more modest option at KSh 838,200. He has already secured KSh 325,000 and is hopeful that more Kenyans will contribute to his cause. The sound system will be installed in a vehicle, although Kebaso currently lacks a suitable vehicle for the purpose. He mentioned owning an old Land Rover Defender that lacks a gearbox, which he plans to repair for this campaign.
Kebaso’s recent viral videos, titled ‘Vampire Diaries,’ highlight government inefficiencies, particularly focusing on abandoned or non-functional development projects. His activism has gained significant attention and sparked public debate.
Last Wednesday, Kebaso stirred controversy on the JKLive Show by claiming that President Ruto had contacted him with an offer for a state job to curb his activism. This allegation was promptly dismissed by State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed, who labeled Kebaso’s claims as false and described him as a liar.
