Police in Kakamega have launched a manhunt for a 25-year-old man who hacked his father to death after a quarrel over a missing pig.
The tragic incident occurred in Shilalyo village of Shinyalu in Kakamega County.
According to reports, the dispute arose between the man and his grandfather on Sunday night after he arrived home and found his pig missing.
As the situation escalated, the 49-year-old father of ten tried to separate his son and his father during which his son hacked him on the head and fled.
Police are searching for the 25-year-old while the deceased’s body was taken to the Kakamega Referral Hospital.
