Mumias East MP Peter Salasya recently took a swipe at socialite Huddah Monroe after she declined his offer of Sh10,000, labeling the amount insignificant compared to her usual earnings.
Salasya, visibly disappointed, responded to the rejection through an Instagram post, where he shared his personal thoughts on Huddah and socialites in general. He revealed that Huddah had reached out to him via WhatsApp, requesting financial assistance, prompting him to send her the Sh10,000, despite his belief that she was struggling financially.
“Nimefika Uganda vizuri and I will be giving a video, but ni mzee kuniliko na mkora… She is broke everyday, she was asking money from me through WhatsApp hadi akanipa number yake ya Kenya,” Salasya wrote, highlighting his shock at her financial state.
The MP went on to cast doubt on Huddah’s public image of success, particularly questioning her claims of owning a beauty business. According to Salasya, his interaction with Huddah led him to believe her beauty line was not legitimate, and he expressed regret for previously promoting one of her products, which he now considers a “scam.”
