The relationship between Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan and her partner Shakib Cham Lutaaya seems to be warming up once again after a period of strain. The couple was recently seen spending quality time together as Zari continued her visit to her home country, Uganda.
This renewed closeness comes on the heels of Zari’s public apology to Shakib, which she issued in a bid to mend their strained marriage. In her apology, Zari admitted to making errors by airing her grievances against Shakib on social media during their recent disagreements.
Zari returned to Uganda last weekend for a several-day visit, during which she expressed her intention to reconcile with Shakib. In an interview, the 43-year-old admitted that her trip was primarily aimed at repairing their relationship following their recent public spat.Zari acknowledged her mistakes in speaking ill of her husband online and blaming him for the distress she experienced.
“Things happen. God made us to make mistakes. We make errors, but later you reflect and realize when you have crossed boundaries,” Zari said.
“I am a stubborn woman. I am an independent woman. I am Zari the BossLady. But, truly, I made mistakes, I had my grievances,” she added.
The mother of five confessed that it was a significant error to use social media to handle her issues with Shakib. She clarified that her trip to her home country was primarily to bring her husband back.
Zari conceded that addressing their issues on social media was a significant error. She clarified that her visit to Uganda was intended to make amends and bring Shakib back into her life. “I am here to make things right and acknowledge that what I said online was wrong. I accept my mistakes and want my husband Shakib to come back,” she stated.
The couple’s public fallout last month involved Zari criticizing Shakib on social media and threatening to leave him, largely in response to Shakib’s concerns about her relationship with Diamond Platnumz and his wife.
