Yvette Obura, the mother of Bahati’s daughter, recently opened up about her struggles in a heartfelt TikTok live session on September 2, 2024. She revealed that she nearly became homeless last year, losing almost everything and facing one of the lowest points in her life. Despite being a popular digital creator, Yvette had kept these challenges hidden from the public, fearing online trolls and negative comments.
During the session, she shared that she had even considered moving back in with her mother after losing everything, from household items to her sense of stability. “Last year I was on the verge of being homeless. I was in a very bad place,” Yvette said. The thought of returning to her mother’s house after trying to build her own life felt like a setback, but her mother remained a pillar of support throughout the difficult period.
Yvette spoke about the emotional toll of the experience, recalling days when she would lock herself in her room and cry. However, her faith in God and her determination helped her overcome the situation. “I never give up on God. I never give up on praying. I trusted in God and picked myself up,” she shared.
Despite her challenges, Yvette maintained that her daughter, Mueni Bahati, was always supported by both her and Bahati. She expressed gratitude for the co-parenting relationship, acknowledging that when she couldn’t provide something for their daughter, Bahati was there to ensure Mueni’s needs were met.
Yvette’s candid revelation highlights her resilience and determination to rebuild her life after hitting rock bottom, while also emphasizing the importance of family support and co-parenting.
