Vivian Wilson, Elon Musk’s estranged transgender daughter, has announced her intention to leave the United States following Donald Trump’s election win. In a post shared on Meta’s Threads, Vivian expressed that she doesn’t see a future for herself in the country, especially in light of the political climate and the election results.
I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t see my future being in the United States,” she wrote.
“Even if he’s only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don’t happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon,” she said after Donald Trump’s win.
Musk, in response, reiterated his previous claim on X, stating that “the woke mind killed my son,” referencing his strained relationship with Vivian. He has long criticized what he calls the “woke mind virus” and suggested that it was responsible for her gender transition and estrangement from him.
Vivian, who legally changed her name and sought gender-affirming care in 2022, shared a screenshot of her father’s tweet and criticized his portrayal of the situation, calling it a tired narrative. She accused Musk of being a “delusional and grubby little control freak” who has failed to mature.
“You’re upset because at the end of the day everyone around you knows you as a delusional and grubby little control freak who hasn’t matured as a person for 38 years. However, last time I checked that’s not my fucking problem,”
Vivian also described Musk as “cold” and “cruel,” claiming he harassed her for displaying effeminate traits as a child and was emotionally abusive, calling him “uncaring and narcissistic.”
