After a six-year tenure with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), seasoned news anchor Sarafina Robi has announced her departure, stepping into a new role with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
Reflecting on her time at KBC, Ms. Robi shared heartfelt appreciation for the experiences and mentorship that shaped her journalism career.
“For six years, I have met people who have moulded me into the journalist I am today,” she said. “KBC has taught me the importance of being professional and given me some pretty good work ethic,” she added in her exit statement.
During her time with KBC, Ms. Robi was the face of the 7PM Swahili news segment ‘Darubini,’ which she anchored on Mondays and Tuesdays.
