Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has claimed that former second lady Dorcas Gachagua is facing challenges accessing the Deputy President’s official residence in Karen, Nairobi.
According to Wamuchomba, Pastor Dorcas has encountered “unnecessary hurdles,” especially in retrieving personal items like her ministerial attire.
“Nguo za mchungaji Munafungia huko Karen za nini? Ama ni exhibit ya next accusations? Mama Boyz amewakosea waapi jameni? Reminder: Power is transient,” she said Wamuchomba in a statement on X.
The change in leadership followed a judicially cleared swearing-in of Kindiki as Kenya’s third Deputy President after Rigathi Gachagua was impeached by the National Assembly and Senate.
Meanwhile, former DP Rigathi Gachagua has reflected on his post-impeachment life, sharing that he has more time to spend with friends and engage in religious study.
Speaking during the burial of Lucy Wambui Ng’ang’a, he acknowledged that, despite the challenges of leaving office, he now has more time for meaningful relationships.
He described reconnecting with friends and religious leaders as an unexpected positive outcome of his departure from public office.
“Probably, with what has happened to us in leaving office, at least the positive thing is that we have more time for friends,” he said, adding that he’s now able to focus on Bible study and deepen his faith.
