Nairobi County Environment CEC Geoffrey Mosiria attempted to shut down a rugby event at Impala Grounds on Saturday night, citing noise complaints from nearby residents. Accompanied by law enforcement officers, Mosiria claimed that the noise from the fans gathered for the rugby match and all-night festivities was excessive, disturbing the peace of the surrounding community.
However, the crowd reacted aggressively, turning against Mosiria and threatening him. The situation escalated as fans hurled water bottles and jeered, ultimately forcing Mosiria to make a quick exit to avoid further confrontation.
