A video showing Nation Media Group’s editorial director Joe Ageyo preaching has gone viral on the internet.
Netizens who were not aware that Ageyo can also preach have expressed admiration for the veteran journalist who is also an elder at the Deliverance Church in Langata, Nairobi.
“I tell you God is good. this is Pastor Joe👍🌟,” reacted Forence UB to the video which by Saturday morning had garndered 66,000 views after being shared by Deliverance Church Langata on their TikTok page.
“Is this the other side of Joe Ageyo?” Asked Ndalos.
Others thought that Ageyo who has 25 years under the belt as a journalist had quit the media and become a preacher.
“Kwani he stopped being a journalist,” asked Rachel Silonyo for instance.
Unknown to many Kenyans however, Ageyo is deeply religious and has taken to the pulpit a number of times at the Deliverance Church in Langata to deliver sermons on Sundays.
This is on top of his impeccable interviewing prowess has seen him engage with heavyweights like President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, among other notable figures.
