Born-again content creator Brenda Jons has issued a heartfelt apology for her past actions and lifestyle choices, which she described as misleading to her followers.
In a candid statement, Brenda acknowledged struggling with depression and inner demons during a period marked by alcoholism, promoting sex toys, inappropriate dressing, and identifying as a member of the LGBTQ community.
“To anyone I misled, many I had preached to, and you lost your faith because I lost mine, to the many I misinterpreted Christ to, I am truly sorry. I have dealt with the grief of sin, and I am sorry,” she expressed.
Brenda reflected on her past struggles with identity, emphasizing how dangerous it can be to seek self-definition outside the context of faith.
“The question of identity is dangerous outside Christ because the world will tell you everything that you’re not. One encounter with Jesus, and He tells you who you are,” she stated.
Brenda’s announcement follows a similar public transformation by Michelle Ntalami earlier this year. Ntalami, also born again, distanced herself from her previous identity as part of the LGBTQ community, citing that it did not align with her faith or the ways of Christ.
Both women’s journeys highlight the complex and deeply personal nature of identity and faith, sparking conversations about the intersections of religion, personal struggles, and public accountability.
Brenda concluded her apology with a renewed commitment to her faith and a hope for forgiveness from those she may have misled, signaling a fresh chapter in her life guided by her beliefs.
