In a series of Instagram Stories, popular YouTuber Mungai aired her frustration over persistent and entitled behavior from some men who flood her inbox with unwanted messages and demands for her attention.
She made it clear that she is not interested in a relationship and urged them to respect her boundaries.
Mungai shared screenshots of messages from admirers and explained how some men become angry and resort to insults when their advances are rejected.
“Leo mniruhusu I rant a bit!! I am sick and tired of some men! You get mad I ain’t responding to your dms! Like boy why are you mad?? That’s entitlement. It’s a privilege to access someone and I will always protect my space. 2. Men who get so mad that you’ve turned down their requests ooh twende date ooh can I buy you lunch, can we date!” she wrote.
She criticized the tendency of some men to feel entitled to her time and attention, emphasizing the importance of respecting a “no.” She also recounted instances where men misused her phone number, repeatedly calling or texting her under false pretenses.
“If a woman says no, it’s a no! I don’t want your things, and I’m not interested—why get angry? You get my number and keep calling, saying you want me to talk to your friends. First of all, I don’t know you! Let’s respect each other’s privacy and decisions,” she urged.
Mungai concluded by addressing the broader issue of harassment, calling on men to stop such behavior. “This is annoying! If I say I’m not interested, keep off. Some of you even insult me when I say no. This is what I deal with all the time!” she added.
