Director Trevor has openly criticized his ex-girlfriend, digital content creator Mungai Eve, claiming she is not a qualified journalist.
Speaking in an interview with Ankali Ray, Trevor argued that holding a microphone does not automatically make someone a journalist.
Trevor further called out Eve’s appearance and professionalism, urging her to stop dressing like a socialite and return to school to learn proper journalism ethics.
He suggested that Eve should draw inspiration from established journalists like Lulu Hassan, adding that her current image is misleading the younger generation about how a journalist should present themselves.
“If you say you’re a journalist, then look at the way you dress on social media. Look at your fellow journalists like Lulu Hassan and assess yourself. Does she wear like that? Let’s not just use the name ‘journalist.’ Go finish school, have ethics, and know your purpose,” he said.
“Eve’s only goal seems to be trending online,” Trevor said. “She doesn’t understand media law or professional ethics. If she’s not careful, she might end up back in the village.”
Reflecting on their past, Trevor hinted at feeling unappreciated for the support he claims to have offered her early in her career. “People grow and start to think your contribution was insignificant,” he remarked.
This comes after Trevor took to social media to criticize Eve’s recent interview with businessman Simon Kabu.
Trevor accused Eve of being unprofessional and lacking objectivity during the interview. In a series of posts on X, Trevor demanded an apology from Eve, claiming her approach fell short of professional standards.
While Eve has yet to respond to these latest comments, the feud between the two former partners continues to attract attention from their followers and the public.
