Popular car dealer Joseph Kairo Wambui, widely known as Khalif Kairo, has responded to claims of financial difficulties following reports of vehicles being removed from his Kai and Karo car yard at the Fourways Junction along Kiambu Road.
Addressing the matter through a series of tweets, Kairo admitted facing challenging times in his business but expressed optimism about recovering in the near future.
He likened his situation to Elon Musk’s financial struggles in 2008 when SpaceX was on the verge of bankruptcy.
Kairo explained that his company’s difficulties were partly due to a significant expansion effort undertaken this year, which he now describes as a “bad bet.” However, he remains hopeful about bouncing back, stating, “It’s been a very tough year for businesses, and we happened to do a bit of expansion this year. Bad bet, but we shall recover. A huge blessing comes at a price; I am currently paying for mine.”
He reassured his supporters that he plans to return stronger at the start of 2025.
