Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Mumias East MP Peter Salasya have pledged to assist Isaac Otesa, popularly known as Bungoma Goliath, after he publicly requested help.
Otesa, known for his extraordinary height, gained fame after claiming he was taller than Bradley Marongo, also known as Gen-Z Goliath. However, he has fallen on hard times, lacking a job and a place to live.
In a video appeal, Otesa reached out to Sonko, explaining his dire situation. Responding to the plea, Sonko announced plans to provide him with a job and essential items to help him rebuild his life. .

Otesa also claimed he had been exploited by managers during his rise to fame, leaving him without financial support. Sonko vowed to investigate the allegations, promising to seek justice for Otesa.
“I’ll push for investigations to uncover how he was swindled by those who managed his endorsement deals. They must return his money or face jail time,” Sonko
Peter Salasya also expressed his willingness to help, suggesting that Otesa could reach out to him since he might be more accessible than Sonko. “I am more accessible than Mike Sonko for now. He can look for me,” Salasya stated.
Bungoma Goliath initially gained attention for his towering stature, rising to fame as he compared himself to Gen-Z Goliath. However, his current struggles have highlighted the challenges he faces despite his brief moment in the spotlight.
