Sarah Kabu, formerly known for her marriage to Simon Kabu, has announced a significant personal change following their divorce. The entrepreneur and public figure revealed she will no longer use the name “Kabu,” opting to rebrand as Sarah Mtalii. For official purposes, she will go by Sarah Njoki Nyaga.
“From tomorrow onwards, I’ll be known as Sarah Mtalii or Sarah Njoki Nyaga for official matters. Bloggers, please update your records; I am no longer Sarah Kabu,” she stated.
Despite the challenges in her marriage, Sarah expressed optimism about love and remarriage.
“Watu wa Embu, lazima nikuje homecoming; sasa mimi ni wenu. I still believe in marriage. Sasa hivi, I’m not ready to go back to the dating scene, but one day I will, and I’ll remarry.”
The announcement follows weeks of online drama surrounding the strained relationship between Sarah and Simon Kabu. Their rocky breakup made headlines after a CCTV clip allegedly showing Sarah assaulting a woman—later identified as the family’s nanny—surfaced online.
Simon confirmed the incident, stating that the footage accurately captured what transpired.
In a subsequent twist, Sarah took to social media, requesting updates on a complaint she lodged with the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) regarding alleged gender-based violence.
