Bridget Achieng, a Kenyan socialite known for her controversial past, has revealed she is unable to return to Kenya due to an active arrest warrant related to allegations of fraud and sex trafficking.
Achieng, now 35, left Kenya in July 2021 for Turkey, where she claimed she was going to celebrate her birthday.
However, she has remained there for over three years, avoiding legal consequences back home.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Achieng disclosed that her passport has been flagged, barring her from traveling back to Kenya without facing arrest.
“I cannot enter Kenya because my passport is blocked. I am stuck in Turkey,” she stated. “If I enter Kenya, I will be arrested.”
Achieng’s legal troubles began after accusations surfaced about two ventures she undertook while living in Turkey.
First, she allegedly facilitated job placements for Kenyans seeking opportunities in Turkey, but some women claimed they were instead introduced to exploitative sex work or abandoned.
Later, she offered to shop for her followers in Turkey and send the items back to Kenya, but critics accused her of taking payments without delivering the goods.
Despite her predicament, Achieng expressed determination to resolve her legal issues and secure her son’s future. She said she plans to relocate to a different country once her case is settled.
“It’s not like I can’t go to Dubai or anywhere else,” she explained, “but I would rather pursue this case, pick up my son, and move to a better country.”
Her situation remains unresolved, and her return to Kenya appears unlikely as she continues to navigate her challenges from Turkey.
