Car dealer Khalif Kairo’s ex-girlfriend, Cera Imani, has clarified the circumstances surrounding a diamond necklace valued at over Ksh.350,000, which was allegedly bought for her by Kairo.
Responding to a fan on social media, Cera stated that the necklace was never purchased and remains at the store in India where it was only tried on. “It is in India at the shop, it didn’t come from there; it was tested and returned,” she explained.
Cera’s remarks came after an Instagram follower suggested she sell the necklace to assist Kairo, who is reportedly facing financial difficulties.
The backstory dates back to their time as a couple when Kairo posted a video of them visiting a jewelry shop in India. In the footage, Cera is seen trying on various necklaces, with Kairo later sharing a post claiming one of the pieces cost Ksh.350,000.
Kairo, whose real name is Joseph Kairo Wambui, has since faced legal troubles. On January 11, 2025, he was arrested for allegedly defrauding a client by failing to deliver a car despite receiving full payment. This marked the second such incident in recent months, as he had previously been arrested on December 3, 2024, for a similar case involving a high-end vehicle.
The former couple, who confirmed their breakup in 2024, have since moved on to new relationships. While Cera has kept her romantic life private, Kairo publicly introduced his new girlfriend, Wavinya Maria, a few months after the split.
