Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz has confirmed that he will marry fellow artist Zuchu in February 2025, just before the start of Ramadan. The announcement was made on January 19, 2025, during a political rally in Dodoma, Tanzania.
Zuchu, addressing the media, reiterated Diamond’s confirmation of the wedding date after being asked about it. Diamond nodded in agreement as Zuchu said, “Amesema mwezi ujao, kabla ya Ramadhani (He has said it will happen next month, before Ramadan).”
The announcement comes amid mixed signals from Diamond about their relationship. Recently, he denied being romantically involved with Zuchu, describing her as “just his artist.” On the Netflix reality show Young, Famous & African, he declared he was single and suggested he might be casually seeing multiple women.
“I do not have a girlfriend anywhere. I can have three girls and treat them the same. That is why it is difficult to call it a relationship. I would call it having fun,” Diamond said on the show.
These remarks followed a period of tension between Zuchu and the media. Zuchu had publicly accused Diamond’s radio station of bullying her by frequently discussing her unmarried status, and she threatened to take legal action against the company.
In November 2024, Zuchu announced that she and Diamond had parted ways amicably. However, the two appeared to reconcile soon after, leaving fans guessing about their relationship status.
