The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced new fuel price adjustments, effective from January 15 to February 14, 2025. The revised prices reflect increases for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene across the country.
Key Adjustments:
- Super Petrol: Increased by Ksh.0.29 per litre.
- Diesel: Increased by Ksh.2 per litre.
- Kerosene: Increased by Ksh.3 per litre.

Background:
According to EPRA Director General Daniel Kiptoo, the new prices incorporate:
- 16% VAT in compliance with the Finance Act 2023.
- Adjusted excise duty rates for inflation as stipulated in Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
Average Landed Costs:
- Super Petrol: Slight decrease of 0.14% from $612.53 to $611.69 per cubic metre.
- Diesel: Marginal increase of 0.06% from $643.69 to $644.10 per cubic metre.
- Kerosene: Decreased by 1.62% from $660.30 to $649.64 per cubic metre.
These adjustments aim to reflect global cost changes while adhering to tax and regulatory frameworks.
