Seasoned journalist Eric Latiff has swiftly transitioned to a new role at NTV, just hours after announcing his departure from the troubled Standard Group.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the media industry, Latiff’s move to the Nation Media Group (NMG) marks another milestone in his illustrious career.
NMG’s Head of Broadcasting, Simaloi Dajom, confirmed Latiff’s appointment on January 6, emphasizing the journalist’s exceptional expertise across television, radio, and digital platforms.
“Latiff is a highly regarded and accomplished media personality, renowned for his creativity, passion, and a stellar track record. With over 27 years of experience in the media industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for developing new media,” said Dajom.
The broadcasting executive added that Latiff’s inclusion aligns with NMG’s strategy to innovate and enhance its broadcast offerings while creating multimedia content that resonates with audiences.
Until his resignation, Latiff was a show host on The Situation Room on Spice FM, a program he co-hosted with CT Muga and Ndu Okoh. Known for his insightful interviewing skills, Latiff became a favorite among listeners during his five-year tenure.
In his farewell message, Latiff expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support during his time at the Daniel Moi-owned Standard Group.
