The Public Service Commission (PSC) has shortlisted 109 candidates from a pool of 2,517 applicants for the coveted Principal Secretary (PS) positions.
The list features prominent public figures from various sectors, signaling stiff competition for the critical roles.
Among the notable names are Dr. Patrick Amoth, Director-General for Health; Dr. Ouma Oluga, former Secretary-General of the Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU); and David Osiany, former Chief Administrative Secretary.
Others include Gabriel Oguda, a well-known social media commentator, and Wilson Sossion, a former nominated Member of Parliament.
Also making the cut are Dr. Andrew Mutava Mulwa, former head of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA); Anne Makori, chair of the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA); Micah Powon, former PS for the State Department for Development of Arid and Semi-Arid Lands; and Dr. Macharia Irungu, ex-Managing Director of Kenya Pipeline Company.
The shortlisted candidates will soon face interviews on a date yet to be announced.
Following the interviews, successful candidates’ names will be forwarded to President William Ruto for formal appointment.
In the meantime, the public has been invited to provide any relevant information about the shortlisted candidates.
Such submissions must be presented through sworn affidavits to the Secretary/CEO of the Public Service Commission or via email at [email protected] by January 24, 2025.
