Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have reportedly separated after 30 years together, according to reports from Spain. Guardiola, 53, and Serra, who is a Brazilian journalist and writer, tied the knot in 2014 in a private ceremony near Barcelona. However, they have now decided to go their separate ways.
The couple, who met in 1994, had been living apart for over five years, with Serra moving back to Barcelona with their youngest daughter, Valentina (17), while Guardiola stayed in Manchester due to his managerial role at Manchester City. The pair has two other children: Maria (24) and Marius (22).
Although they had been living in different cities, Guardiola and Serra were often seen together and remained a couple despite the physical distance. It was reported that the decision to end their marriage was made in December, and only close friends and family were informed of the separation. They have requested that no further details about their split be shared publicly.
