Nakuru governor Susan Kihika is the newest mother in town after she gave birth to a bouncing baby girl, according to sources and a statement issued by the county chief.
The governor has not been seen in public in a while. This had created speculation that she was probably out of the country.
Kihika has this morning issued a statement saying that the reason she has not been seen in public is because she has given birth and is currently on maternity leave.
“Following numerous calls that I have received regarding my leave of absence as the elected governor of Nakuru, I want to assure the people of Nakuru that I am well and currently on maternity leave,” said the governor in a statement.
Although she did not disclose the name of the baby, sources close to the governor have told us that she gave birth to a girl and her name is Waithera.
We would like to extend our coungratulations to the governor.
