Three people have been confirmed dead after an aircraft crashed on Friday afternoon in the Kwachocha area of Malindi, Kilifi County.
Eyewitnesses reported that the aircraft experienced technical issues before losing control and crashing, subsequently bursting into flames.
Video footage shared online revealed parts of the plane scattered on the road, with sections engulfed in fire, indicating the intensity of the impact. Nearby makuti structures also caught fire, but fire engines promptly arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Further details about the victims and the aircraft involved are yet to be disclosed.
