Legendary Belgian martial artist and actor Jean-Claude Van Damme is facing serious criminal charges in Romania, accused of engaging in explicit sexual activities with women allegedly trafficked by a criminal group.

According to reports, the alleged incident took place in Cannes, where the action star is accused of knowingly receiving at least five Romanian women as a “gift” from a group of traffickers.

“Several Romanians who are currently being investigated for forming a criminal group and pimping allegedly offered Jean-Claude Van Damme five Romanian women—photo models in Romania—for him to have sexual relations with. The person who received those benefits knew their condition,” reads part of the charge sheet.

The allegations are part of a broader investigation into human trafficking and the exploitation of minors, which began in 2020. Authorities believe the trafficking network may have been responsible for the exploitation of hundreds of women.

As the case unfolds, Van Damme has yet to publicly respond to the accusations, while Romanian authorities continue their probe into the larger trafficking syndicate.
