A fatal collision involving three trailers caused a major traffic disruption early Friday morning along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, near the Jet Inn area between Emali and Masimba.

The accident occurred on a railway bridge section of the highway and tragically claimed the life of one individual. Another driver sustained serious injuries in the crash.

The massive wreckage from the trailers completely blocked the highway, leading to a significant traffic snarl-up in both directions. By the time of reporting, emergency crews and traffic police were still at the scene, working to clear the debris and restore the flow of vehicles.

Authorities are urging motorists to seek alternative routes as efforts continue to reopen the highway.
