A major breakthrough has been made in the investigation into the brutal murder of Kaspul Member of Parliament, following the arrest of a key suspect on Saturday night in Nairobi.
According to police sources, detectives have also recovered a vehicle believed to have been used by the suspect and his accomplices during the fatal mission. The car was reportedly used as a getaway vehicle after the MP was shot at close range near City Mortuary along Valley Road.
Investigators say the same vehicle was captured on security cameras traversing several key locations around the city, including Parliament Buildings, City Hall Way, Wabera Street, Kenyatta Avenue, Jakaya Kikwete Road, Argwings Kodhek Road, and Valley Road—the exact route the MP took from Parliament before the fatal shooting on April 30, 2025.
Detectives are now working to extract critical information from the suspect, including the motive for the killing, the identity of accomplices, the whereabouts of the murder weapon, and details about a motorcycle reportedly used at some point during the crime.
The suspect has been forensically linked to all the locations the MP visited in the moments leading up to his assassination.
